As Christians, we find our identity in God’s approval and favor. But this doesn’t always lead to an “easy” life here on this earth. Look at Mary the Mother of Jesus as an example. She was “highly favored” in God’s eyes yet her life required fleeing and mourning.
Remember these words of Jesus: “If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also.” (John 15:20).
