It’s likely a story you’re already familiar with, but I was recently struck afresh by the story of Jairus and his daughter. To give you a quick recap, a synagogue leader named Jairus approached Jesus, requesting help for his dying daughter. Along the way, they encounter a woman who has been struggling with her health for 12 years. She simply touches Jesus’s robe and is healed.
Only moments later, messengers arrive and report to Jairus that his daughter has died. It would seem that all hope was lost at that point, but not with Jesus in the picture. In the blink of an eye, Jesus raised this young girl back to life.
Both Jairus and the sick woman had the faith to believe that Jesus could restore life to situations that seemed hopeless by all worldly standards. Will you step out in faith today to believe in God for the impossible and trust in His timing?
