In many cases, such laws are presented from an optimistic lens of trying to clamp down on hatred. However, the manner in which these laws are enforced are commonly antagonistic or used to silence those with unpopular opinions by society’s standards.
As nations around the world, including in the West, clamp down on free speech and religious freedom, it is essential that we speak up.
