Death is one of the few things that is common among every single human on the planet. And the fear of death has infiltrated our culture, so it only makes sense that we all fear dying to varying degrees. But death is inevitable—for those we love and for ourselves.
I’ve witnessed death firsthand, both with the persecuted, but also those close to me in my personal life.
It’s a stark reminder that we are not truly living life to the fullest in this life. Death points to the beautiful life that is to come with the Father.
If you’re experiencing grief right now, know that our Savior is well acquainted with grief, and he weeps alongside you. But know that there is also a hope that we are all headed for a life more beautiful than we could ever imagine.
